Light and summery and perfect with a Spicy Arnold Palmer or one of those pretty matcha drinks. But that’s definitely not my department! We just drink them! 🔥 Catering orders with our partners @lidioscafeflowers all the quiche and muffins delivered to @track5coffee, @rnbeanscoffee and @1874coffeeco too. Amongst so many other things! How do we pick which coffee to have everyday?!?!?! All great and something different to have at all! Businesses that support us every single day! I want to be clear. The ONLY change is the store front. We are not out of business. We have an almost filled camp, classes coming in the Fall. We have a lot that will be explained in the upcoming weeks of how we will do business going forward. GIFT CARDS can be used on items we will have available online as well with bakery/catering. Nothing is going to change here. Please don’t panic. So many great things ahead! Thank you again for showing all the support and being happy for us. Sweet n Fancy has been around since 1989. Good morning! Now that we shared some of the hardest yet exciting news, things have become that much more real. Why the red face Cameron pic? Well. For those that know me know my face says it all. He too has this horrible issue. With that said, this is a lot for all to take in. All the normal feels are happening. This is emotional, overwhelming and once all ironed out, it will always be a work in progress. As the store opens today, not sure what to expect. We are sharing everything in one spot (email blasts will go out when needed to subscribers that are not on social). It will be natural to ask questions when in the store. We have shared all we can for now. Most businesses that move or close a part don’t normally give notice. Reason being is it can be uncomfortable for many. I ask that you don’t quiz the crew. As much as I can hope to prepare for harder and emotional conversations, not all can nor should have to have them. We have a lot of people in and out as well as people we mentor daily in house that are there to learn and gain social skills. This isn’t new and during emotional times they can become uncomfortable and that’s the opposite of what we work on daily. Let’s be real here. It’s been about 24 hours that the announcement went out. This isn’t easy for ME. Tho beyond confident in our direction and the future of not only SNF but also Sprinkle and Scratch House, it’s still not something we will be openly talking about at this point. Announcing was strategically planned. We want our customers and clients to have a plan. Not just disappear and leave people hanging. We have worked really hard to get there. Based on the incredible accolades we have received, there is also so much uncertainty at the same time. We will navigate through this together. People will talk. Again. Natural. But what you will need to know will be shared here! We will answer everyone. We are heading into the weekend and we have to continue to do what we do. We just need a few days. Stay cool today! Good morning friends! Sometimes the hardest part of writing is how we start. Most know me well enough that I am just going to say it. As we approach 5 years on South Ave, we have decided not to renew our lease. Ending our time in a building doesn’t end Sweet n Fancy. It’s the complete opposite. From 2021 to today, our business has grown in ways I’d never imagined. We even built another kitchen almost 2 years ago! We are so grateful for our customers, Sprinkle clients and our vendors! So many relationships have formed. Family gained truly. But it’s time to change direction so we can continue to grow and manage the relationships we have. We are at a point that engagements have turned to showers, then weddings to gender reveals to more showers and some are on their 4th and 5th birthday parties! Closing the shop doesn’t change anything for booked parties or orders. A lot goes into creating memories and we are beyond thrilled to have been chosen to be part of it all. Even the ones we help them navigate through doing on their own! We have been there for all of it and still will be. Just differently. There will be so much more to follow but it’s critical now that we have given notice that we prepare our retail store clients for how timing will go. This isn’t something we could share too far in advance as it has so many moving parts. But wanted to give some time to work through how you will run your businesses and or create your own memories in your homes. Definitely do not have all those answers yet. But we assure you. We will be creative and do what we can to help transition everyone. For now. Summer hours remain through 6/27. That will be the final day the store is open. From there, we will announce as we have the store open for sales and such. We will be working to have local pickup/ deliveries for the most purchased items. Merckens. Sprinkles. Sugars. Boxes and boards. Edible images. These are the top things. We are working to have that set for after we close. Happy Memorial Day Weekend! Summer is almost here and we are starting Summer Hours the week of June 8th this year. Tuesdays and Wednesdays are extremely slow traffic days. We understand things come up and may need something. We will have detailed communication options for when that time comes. This does not impact orders or our vendors. The bakery and catering are completely separate and a 24/7 operation and not done at the store. Supplies are becoming increasingly difficult to get. So many companies shut their doors and didn’t have their products being made anywhere else. With the food color FDA changes coming January 2026, has also presented less production of what we use today and replacing with natural and dye free but these are not what most are accustom to and we need to not purchase huge minimums as they have an incredibly short shelf life and will expire prior to the end of 2026. Not to mention right now they are more than triple the cost. We have to give companies time to perfect and see which truly works best. Sadly the entire industry isn’t there yet and we need to allow time to adjust and get the right products for our clients and bakers! More to come on all of this but wanted to explain a bit of why some things are not available at the store right now. We are all navigating this at the same time so we don’t know yet either how this will all work! We will continue to do our best to help as we get supplies that you have truly used, loved and trusted.
