I wanted to do a voice over to explain. But let’s be real. No one wants to hear me talk! Though I can post thousands of pictures, these tell our story. The past 5 years have been wild. When Cameron and I said good bye to South Ave this morning it reminded me of when he came in for the first time. And then I was flooded and overwhelmed with memories. We never imagined we would grow and change as we have. But we are not saying good bye. Just to a vessel. Albeit a once loaded one. But because of all of you and especially our Vendor relationships that keep us busy EVERY DAY!!! It’s time for this change. I’m not only a business owner. I’m a Mom, a friend and someone who carries a tremendous amount of responsibility to the people who support me and this crazy life. And by supporting I also mean who believes in us. So if you are reading this. It’s you too! From the moment word got out that we were coming to Downtown Cranford, the memories started. And I’m proud to say we will continue to add to that vault everyday! When I say we will continue to be here, just differently. Ask the store shoppers that have been picking up at 4am and all hours at our kitchen. We mean what we say. WE ARE HERE. But this didn’t make today easy. Handing in our keys ended this chapter and the new one starts tomorrow 💯 all in! Stay tuned for what’s next! With all the love and gratitude. It’s been an amazing ride @downtowncranford. Now off to the country life at Centennial Village! 🥹

Yes, those are kids making their own charcuterie boards. 🧀

The Sweet n’ Fancy team introduced charcuterie board making into camp this year for most of our camp weeks, and both the kids and our staff loved the activity. Even our youngest group, ages 4–6, were thrilled to make their own boards!

What we love about this activity is that there are so many skills that can be taught through something that feels like just a fun activity:
✨ Choosing and exploring different ingredients
✨ Practicing fine motor skills through spreading, placing, and arranging
✨ Making independent choices
✨ Learning about colors, textures, shapes, and presentation
✨ Following directions and completing steps independently
✨ Trying new foods and being open to different flavors
✨ Using creativity to design their own board
✨ Practicing patience and taking their time
✨ Building confidence and independence
✨ Feeling proud of something they created themselves

And honestly, watching them make their boards and seeing how proud they were of what they created was the best part.

Phone line transfers Monday night after we hand in our keys. We are making sure all channels are still here! So glad to see people are ordering from our online store for pick up! Well. I can assure you moving a business is next level and while still completely operating. We are approaching our last weekend on South Ave. I am not sure how else to say it but we are NOT out of business! The store front is closing. That’s the change. Oh no! No more crumb cake?! Not true. We are busier than ever truly. How will I get my edible images? The same way you have for years. We are trying to wrap this up in less then 15 days so we can start the new us. Online is not fully active yet till the store inventory is gone. The rest that we have decided to keep available (all the things most commonly shopped) will be communicated but people have been ordering online since it was being built. It’s that easy to do. We aren’t going anywhere! We hope you come celebrate with us this weekend. Doors open 10 on Friday! All weekend 10-2. Bluey. Spidey. Cotton candy. Cupcake decorating. From day one… @perrottisqualitymeats has been a great neighbor and local stop for so many things and especially our camp visits when on South Ave. Not only has Jim showed up for 50 whole years, he genuinely loves what he does and always has a smile and doesn’t miss a trick or forget to ask about how your family is. The thousands of people that walk through Perrotti’s door. Everyone is someone! Congratulations Jim on this incredible milestone and serving clients day in and day out and just being a great guy! With that said, since the store closed the last week of June, we have continued to help when you need things or have last minute emergency items. While the store is opened from 10-2 for these two weekends noted above, I strongly urge you to look at your upcoming orders and supply needs and get them while you can shop the store. While there is a sale on many things, your usual staples like Merckens, select sprinkles, drums, boxes and other items that will be available online for local pick up in the future, it won’t be as immediate as coming to the store. We will not be able to always just open the door or print emergency edible images. We will always do our best to help but the store is ending and it’s truly time we take the training wheels off and we need to plan and utilize our online tools. Our phone will stay but not always the quickest way to get a response. Edible images have been the same process for over two years. If you have not ordered one since the changes, texting and emailing will not speed up turnarounds. We have to stay on task and help everyone in the order they come through. We beyond appreciate all the love and support. Planning is critical to ensure you have what you need and for when you need it. Especially as we close this chapter, we need to also stay on task and the store was closed prior to the move so we can be ready for the next phase! Yesterday, our young chefs rolled up their sleeves and created homemade chicken tenders and fries completely from scratch! They practiced important real-life kitchen skills, including food safety when working with raw ingredients, proper knife techniques, and the confidence to prepare a meal independently.

Watching them grow more comfortable in the kitchen has been incredible. We are so proud of the focus, teamwork, and determination they showed today! 👏

Join us for a week of stories, sweets, crafts, and imagination! Each day, campers will dive into a new storybook adventure filled with themed baking activities, crafts, games, sensory fun, and creative play designed especially for ages 4–6.
